Many people will try to clean in a non-systematic way and this will lead to an area which will not have been cleaned much. The time taken to clean will also greatly increase in this way. In order to clean the most efficiently you must follow a process to make sure that everything is in order properly.

  1. Find out what needs to be done. This may sound obvious but many people will try to clean their room and not be sure what to clean or not. There may be a piece of paper on your desk from a piece of work. You may wonder should it be cleaned and swept away or left on the desk to be dealt with as a normal part of work later.
  2. Gather all items that are leaving the room together. By grabbing everything that doesn’t belong in the room together you will be able to get rid of a lot of the clutter around the room. This way when you need to put these items in their proper areas you can bring all of them together
  3. Put items inside the room in their correct spots. Now this is the step where you may put some books in the correct spot on the shelf or some garbage in the trash can. This step will take care of the majority of the area but there is still one important step left.
  4. The final step is to wipe down the surface. A dirty desk or table can be irritating so it is best to clean these surfaces last in the list to finish up the job. With the lack of items in the nearby areas it will also be much easier to clean these surfaces

You need to know how you are going to clean an area before you actually start to clean it. This way you will be able to clean it faster, more efficiently, and safe time. As well as gain the satisfaction of having a clean environment.
