Strategy games are important not just for entertainment but also for a variety of other reasons. Some of the most important reasons are listed below
- They force you to think ahead. With a lot of the games, you get instant stimulation and there is no planning. The games are luck or skills but either way you can instantly start the climax of the game. With strategy games you must plan ahead in order to win. This relates to real life as people also need to think of their life plans in order to get ahead
- They aren’t infinite but they last longer. The length of the games is very important. In strategy games they are not endless like some games. Endless games will cause endless wanting for more and more. In strategy games when one game is over the whole thing is done. There is no more than can be done. They also aren’t so incredibly short that one person will do many games over and over again craving more. They are the perfect length for someone to gain satisfaction from one long game without needing more due to a short game time length.
- There are a multitude of ways to play. Often games have one most direct and best path that people should follow. A shooter game may require someone to focus on gaining the best aim and any other strategies other than improving aim will be subpar. The game may also not have any ways of improving if they are total luck and one may get frustrated from continuous losses. With strategy games you will always be motivated to better you’re playing strategy and become a better player overall.
