The Tipping Point

The Tipping Point is a book by Malcolm Gladwell which talks about how everything big is caused by small changes.

The book goes into detail about how tiny things such as a singular person’s effects will cause things major things for the better or the worse. The book says that 80 percent of the results come from 20 percent of the effort. This is known as the 80 20 rule and applies to almost everything in life. 20% of people have 80% of the money and 20% of people get 80% of the best scores. Likewise, the reverse is also true with 80% of the people having 20% of the money. The book also talks about some people who are connectors and connect people which can cause viral like information to spread rapidly. It talks about how these connectors influence our society and cause a tipping point in spreading information and trends.

Overall this book is slightly date having come out in the early 2000s but a lot of its information is still relevant today. This book is worth reading.
