Impact of Teachers

Throughout my school career, there haven’t been many classes which were extremely hard for me. I didn’t always do perfect but there was nothing that I ever completely struggled in until this year. I have always liked most of my teachers but in recent years there have been a few that I can’t believe are allowed to teach. Often time these teachers were just confusing to understand and also much more negative compared to other teachers. On the other end I have also had many teachers which allowed me to open my perspective.

One such teacher was my Introduction to Proofs teacher. I say that he was influential because his class led to me approaching math and studying from a different angle. His class was by far the hardest I have ever taken in my career, but I learned a lot about the process of learning from his class. Since I didn’t know what to do, I had to experiment and find other ways to learn the subject and this led to me experimenting. As a result of this experimenting I was also able to study better for other classes. If he had been a horrible teacher then I would have most likely given up on this class and not learned more and became a better person.
