I don’t know about things that happened before I was born in detail. This makes sense because if I was there then I would know a lot more about that event. Everything that I know is second hand from someone, so I can’t be a primary source of information for anything before I was born. I know about important events that occurred, but I know almost nothing about the years that were directly before my birth other than obvious information such as what the technology must have been like.

I know slightly more about my birth year, but not because I remember anything. Since my birth year is closer to this year, I can infer what it must have been like better. I know that in 2009 iPhones were most likely not very popular and many pieces of technology were still being advanced. There were probably many people who didn’t have or even know what a smartphone was. There are no specific events I know that happened in 2009. I think that there wasn’t much going on during that period anyways other than advancing in technology.
