Throughout all of the different schools that I have been to, each one was an extremely different experience. Each time I went up a grade there was a change but each school had a larger change. The environment and types of people changed as well as many other things. It also led to a change in perception and also led to other changes.

My first school was elementary. Technically it wasn’t elementary but I don’t remember enough about my school before elementary. In this school nothing really mattered. I tried to do good in school but I wonder why I tried to do good. Of course it is good to try than to not try but I wonder what the purpose was to do anything better than mediocre. There were no grades in any classes. I could have used a fraction of my brain and done almost as good, but I wouldn’t have been able to refine my skills as much if I didn’t.

My second school, or middle school, was vastly different from elementary. Things still didn’t necessarily “matter” in middle school but everything was much more serious. People acted differently and there were also many new people as opposed to my old school. People started becoming more divided and certain groups also became more distinct.

My first year of high school was the most different by far. I wasn’t shocked by it as I had gone to the high school for one period ever year during eight grade, but if I hadn’t it would’ve been the biggest shock. There were people of many many different types who were interested in different things. The school was huge and everyone was interested in different things. Everyone was also going more into their specialty. Clubs were something that people were often part of.

My current year of high school was similar to taking a slice of the people from my high school and putting them into a dorm together. All of the harder working people were put in once school together in an innovative environment and that led to what I am in right now. It is different from before but it is also more fun. I find the school more fun but there are many possible ways that it could be better such as the lack of or strictness of rules as sometimes they are way to strict or way to lenient. I do like this environment a lot more than my previous schools though.
