There are many words which would interesting if they were banned from public usage. It would not be useful to anyone if just one word were prohibited because people would end up coming up with another way to depict that word. That means that if I got rid of a harmful word such as a slur people would just make a new slur. Thus it wouldn’t be useful to ban a slur.

If I banned any one word it would certainly be the word “the”. The reason for this is that it is the most commonly used word in English and it would be interesting to see what people would end up using to replace “the”. There is no logic behind banning them other than for personal interest. This may positively impact the English language as removing “the” would end up causing large reformations to the English language making it a better language overall. The one word I will always choose for a scenario such as this is “the”.
