Card games and board games are both loved by people around the world. Card games such as uno or go-fish are extremely popular. Board games like Monopoly chess are also very popular with people around the world. So which one is better?

Card games contain many specialties that board games don’t. Normally they only consist of a pack of cards which someone can easily carry around. Most of the time the rules are simple, and they can be taught quickly to new people. This means that card games are easily portable and teachable. Great for people who are traveling or playing with a new set of friends who haven’t played the same game before.

Board games are capable of doing many more strategic moves, yet this makes them more complicated than card games. Board games have many more pieces which allow you to take more actions than games which are simpler. The downside to this more complicated game is that it is harder for other people to learn. It is also harder to teach other people to learn the game. Board games are great for people who play with the same group of friends and don’t need to travel and move them around too much.

So, which is better? For me board games are clearly superior as I like strategy and longer games than shorter card games. But for people who travel more and like simple rules card games are the way to go. In the end it comes down to personal preference and circumstances.
